With 30 years of experience in Istanbul’s tourism industry, we would like to share an open and honest recommendation to ensure you enjoy the smoothest and most memorable New Year’s Eve experience.
Although our New Year’s package includes transfers, heavy traffic and road closures on New Year’s Eve have caused significant delays in previous years—particularly for guests traveling from the Asian side or areas farther from Eminönü.
One of the key advantages of our program is that the ship departs from Eminönü, right in the heart of the Historical Peninsula—easily accessible on foot, by tram, ferry, or taxi.
For this reason, we kindly advise our guests to come to the Eminönü/Sultanahmet side of the city earlier in the evening, as reaching the boat from this area is much easier and more reliable.
We also operate the Utopian Rooftop Restaurant in Sultanahmet, offering stunning views of the Old City. Guests who arrive early are warmly invited to join us there for a drink and relax before the cruise.
Additionally, most New Year’s programs begin at 8:30 PM and finish around 1 AM—precisely when traffic is most congested. To offer a better experience, our program starts with a welcome cocktail at 9:00 PM, departs at 10:00 PM, and continues the celebration until 3:00 AM. This allows you to enjoy a full night of entertainment and return to your hotels comfortably by our transfer, without being affected by traffic.
